KINGS BAY HOCKEY NEWS WIRE

4/29/14 Games Canceled Tonight! Rain....

4/28/14 All Pages Updated!

4/28/14 Standings Updated...

4/27/14 Week 3 Posted! Backed up on Stats, all will be posted by tomorrow night!

4/24/14 Mariners Have an Answer, NOMAAM on Boost, Marine Park Configure, Hansons go Deuce in Week Two as Father and Son Come of Age in the Bay! Mariners would trail 2-0 early in the second then the storm back would come with Manfredi, Nicastro and Breeder! The game would be tied again as Joseph Breeder's tally at the 10:40 mark of the third would hold up to be the game winner in the Mariners 5-3 win! NOMAAM's Cory Johnson would play the Ace Role in the forward position posting a Rabbit out the Cap as the NOMAAM pace was rapid all night long in another 5-3 contest. Two games in two great matches! After opening up a 2-0 lead Marine Park would protect it for a while, then attack, and then it was a one goal margin. Off a beautiful blocked point shot it would redirect a loose puck to center ice where B. Elpant would get loose on a break and regain the two goal Park lead back. Elfant was a four goal getter in the Park prosper in the winner. Notable mention on this one must go to Off in Public's goal keep John Caizzia who was Pink floyd's Just another brick in The Wall stopping avalanche at some points! Before I get into the last game of the night History was made in the Bay as 80's Kings Bay Alumni in Scotty Adelle who played in his youth in the Bay back in the 80's was able to fast forward to year 2014 to play in the same place with his son Tyler who just turned 18! Congrats guys as we look forward to seeing you guys playing together all season long. Now back to the game where last seasons finalists faced off in Hansons and Man Up and as I just glanced at the stat sheet an OMG came to mind. The four eyed figure you all know as Rob Muzuchin in the Bay dazzled with a career move going easily around a defensemen and placing the biscuit in the basket left the booth in Awe! It was was his third of the night for the trick as he also had an assist. He was also quick to mention we were missing forward Ammaritti and Carr. Not sure what he meant by that but it probably has something to do with how strong his team looks to be just two game in. Awesome Hockey in the Bay, Love and Gratitude I have! All pages will be updated shortly! Have a Great Weekend and Check out the new cool photos below!

4/24/14 Ale in a Shooter, Hanson Twirl, Gravesend Max Out and Dangle Do! Theirs a thin line between BIG and STRONG as was the case in last night's inter-league play challenge when Charles Ale House opened up a 3-0 lead but would soon trail by a goal after four unanswered ring dings. But they would knot the game back up at four with 6:15 left on Den Millazo's second of the evening that would carry us into a shoot-out. The shoot-out was score friendly as it would end 4-3 in the Charles Ale House Favor Flavor! Everyone was ranting about the Hansons on paper then the sticks would hit the asphalt. If you saw a Brown Carr on the rink you saw the duo both hit the back of the net twice and help another in their convince you 5-1 win. Too much excitement coming out of the end of Graves after being shut out in their opener they would explode for nine in their second contest. The new M&M boys in Marraco and Morozov both would produce a trick while Charlie "tell him the guy you added to the roster" Sbrigato would indulge in three assists. Gravesend Big. Dangleberries came out with flash opening a 3-0 lead with McLouen netting two. Brown Street would get one back but that would be all as both goal keeps closed up shop early from there on in, in the 3-1 Dangles win! Standings Updated, Stats Next!

4/23/14 Mother Nature Threw a Curve! 90% Chance of rain last night equaled up to not an ounce of rain. Not much to say after that, see you tonight folks.

4/20/19 Week Two Posted! All Pages Updated!

4/17/14 Opening Kick Off in the Bay! NOMAAM make time for Donuts, Marine Park hang on, OFF in Public get it in a Ten Round Bout and Dragons thinking Heyday! The new seasonal kicked off in the Bay last night and it was a good one as you know defense and goaltending win championships NOMAAM flexed theirs in the opener with the likes of Sam Pontillo and Bill Fox. Puck moving defenseman Sammy Pontillo worked his way up the rink for a trick while a sixty pound lighter Billy Fox shook his mask no all night long posting a shutout in the NOMAAM 4-0 winner. Marine Park kept it tight evening long in a one goal game with time winding down as Matt Galeano's nighty footer into the empty basket for his fifth of the night would seal victory for the Park. In the loss Beach Rats Forward Steve Kelly was good for a hard working hat-trick. In our wildest game of the evening Off in Public would open up a 4-0 lead after two periods of play but the Silverbacks would storm back with four unanswered goals in the final session with goals three and four being scored at 18.0 and 11.3 remaining to force a wild shoot-out session. The shoot-out session went deep, ten rounds deep till 21 of Off in Public would nail down the edge of your seat win. In the win 3 of Off in Public was good for the trick as for the Silverbacks CJ Totillo and G. Nicholas blazed home two in the OT loss. The Dragons made a statement in the opener igniting red for the first five after the opening puck drop as Joey Ristoriantie slammed home the first two of the Dragons seasonal with Billy Buckman coming in for the lay-up and Mr. Number One overall Draft hero Matt Galeano netting two in the Dragons convincing 6-2 win. Opening night a beautiful success! Great skate and play as we look fwd to doing each night in the Bay! Love it, I Do! All new season standings, stats and team pages will be worked on over the weekend so keep checking back as you will be the first to know. Everyone have a Happy Easter!

4/16/14 Last Night was a Wash! We'll be scheduling three nights a week the next few weeks to catch up and to counter future rain outs or in some cases snow outs. Also please check out info below on a fund raiser held by one of our own in Bobby Munday for a High School Hockey player who was injured during a game.

4/13/14 Week One and The Final Game Posted!

4/10/14 Glory in the Bay! Charles Ale House lift the Crown and Man Up Parade on Through with their first Draft League Title! After dominating most of the regular season Charles Ale House cap off a 9-1 regular season and an undefeated playoff run with a 4-2 victory bringing the Kings Bay Cup back to the House of Ale! Last night Charles Ale House would take a 2-0 lead into the final session off of Billy Strong and Dennis Millazo goals but Gravesend would inch back into this one twice as it was a one goal game with just 2:45 remaining. Thomas Galligan would end any threat of a comeback sliding home the two goal lead back with just 1:33 left as time would soon expire and Charles Ale House would take home their second title in three seasons. They are now BIG B bound and Ready! Raise your Sticks and Cups, Congratulations to the Charles Ale House Crew! In Draft League play it would be the Man Up squad lead by captain Liam Morris who went a measly 3-7 in the regular season finishing up in last place who was some how able to rejuvenate his Men in the second season to a title! Earning four wins in the Man Up playoff volt to victory the franchise would earn their first Kings Bay Cup. Last night it would be more of the same a pick up where we left off in game two in another dominating win. Charging out to a 3-0 lead after one they would take a 4-0 lead into the final session soon engaging in a Cup Celebration! Matt Galeano played the King role again putting up a five goal six point night having something to do with every goal scored. While Matt did his thing his core players did theirs. Including first time Kings Bay Cup winners in goaltender Rob Halasy who played brilliant in the series and all post season. Mike Gillespie the speedy defenseman rushing up and down the rink protecting his house with Eugine Perepada flexing his grit. Add in the key ingredients of Matt Carlton, Genero Soriano and Jesse Hetzler and that all adds up to Kings Bay Cup Championship win. Congrats to the Man Up Squadron! And now folks this all leads up to the new draft season as it went down today! If you joined in for the new season you will find out where you landed here as we look forward to another exciting draft seasonal!

4/7/14 The Finals Continues, Schedule Posted Below!

4/4/14 New Season Update Below!

4/4/14 Man Up Storm Right Back! In just one short game ago Man Up was the team being dominated on the asphalt as last night it would be Man Up doing the dominating! A 360 degree reversal would be dealt and a 7-1 final score. Forward Matty Carton and defenseman Mike Gillisipi chimed in with a pair of red lamps each as those goals opened the gates for Matt Galeano to finish off his trick bag putting the finishing touches on a game two and series evening win. Goalie Rob Halsey of Man Up was also good in this one wind milling back and forth across his goal line to make stops while also gloving down a penalty shot in the win even though he wasn't sure what time the game was. Man Up force the deciding game three which will decide the Kings Bay Cup Draft Title! It's On Brothers and Sisters!

4/3/14 Dangleberries Get Even! Force a Game Three! The Dangleberries second period fight would be the difference maker in this contest connecting for three off of two #22 slams and a F. Gonitay tally entering the final fifteen with a 4-2 lead as it would soon be Dangle goal keep time in Vitarotos. As Spiro, the Park goal keep would do in game one Vitarotos would return the favor in game two. Turning aside two breakaway attempts and some point blank bucs he was money forcing the decisive game three that will decide this seasons cup winner! One game for all! Which team will lift up the Kings Bay Cup!

3/31/14 Playoff Tree Updated... Visit Here.

3/30/14 The Finals Schedule Posted! The Cup will be in the House!

3/28/14 All Playoff Stats Updated!

3/28/14 Hansons Control the Pace, Charles Ale in the House and Marine Park ignite in the third! The Hansons locked down on defense pretty much all night long with the heart and hustle of Billy Buckman and the Quarterbacking of Tom Galligan. The duo was able to limit the Man Up shots and attack on goal making it an easy night for goal keep Robbie Tesero as he turned aside the ones he had to make. With that the Rob Muzuchin lead team was able to take a 4-1 lead into the final session and close out the win. Man Up will have something to build on as they were able to score two late goals in the last thirty seconds of the game but a little to late in this one. The Hansons will look to take home their second Cup in the last three seasons and third over all if they can get one more. More of the same from the Charles Ale House Crew with yet another commanding win. After leading 1-0 after one they would erupt in period two with a five goal outburst. Dennis Millazo led the way rifling in four of the five tallies skating away with a 7-2 winner. Charles Ale House will look to close out the series in game two as Gravesend will look to regroup and force a game three. A non stop back and forth battle would peruse between Marine Park and the Dangleberries as the Berries would get a late tally off a Gonitay cannon blast in the middle session taking a 2-1 lead into the final fifteen. But Marine Park would rally back in the third with four unanswered goals from four different skaters in a span of just six minutes off of Morozov, Galeano, Krober and Kasimis sticks for a 5-2 lead. The Dangles would come back hard getting one back but Marine Park would be able to snatch this one up and take a 1-0 lead in the best of three. Notable mentions and monster awards go out to Marine Park goal keep Spiro Gaspolipos who was absolute wall in this one making many key and big saves on the night. Park defenseman Steve Kelly was also beast blocking many shots and playing a solid dee. Game two's set off next Week in the Bay as the Kings Bay Cup will be in the building! 3/24/14 The Finals Kick Off! Kings Bay Hockey Finals Kick off This Thursday Night in the Bay! We'll be going game one this week with the Season finale finishing off next Week! Be in the Bay!

3/20/14 Gravesend Thrill into the STRONG B Finals, Hansons Rally Late Secure the Birth and Man Up a not so Cinderella Story! Gravesend forward Adnon Aksalkic would catch a pass center ice getting behind the Rockies defense coming down for a clean breakaway making it count sending Gravesend into their first Kings Bay Cup Finals appearance in team history! The game was a good one with the lead changing five times though out the contest. Alex Morozov of Gravesend hasn't skated in a month due the weather but you wouldn't of noticed as he slid home the trick with a big helping hand getting Gravesend over the top. Team Captain Charles Sbrigato was most energetic after the game saying his team is clicking and running on all cylinders. If Gravesend thought it was tough getting to the Finals, getting by their opponents in the Finals will be even tougher as they go against the number one seed Charles Ale House who has only lost one game this season, but the same could be said for the Rockies who also only lost one game. Game One kicks off next week in the best of three series. The Hansons would trial by a goal with under three minutes to play as Tom Galligan would soon take over! Equalizing the game at five at the 2:54 mark he would soon drive through traffic speeding home the game winner past the checkered flag fueling victory and a Kings Bay Cup Finals Appearance against the rejuvenated Man Up! After just finishing just a measly 3-7 during the regular season Man Up would slam home victory into the first overtime session as number one pick overall Matt Galeano would thrust home goal number five of the contest for the thrilling win. The game was a wild one with Man Up building a 4-0 lead only to see the meet knotted back up in period two as they would both trade another goal each bringing us into the OT session setting up a wild finish that saw GBU tie the game at five with just 3:10 left in regulation, a penalty shot stop in overtime but just coming up shy off of Galeano's heroics! Team Captain Liam Morris of Man Up and Hansons Captain Rob Muzuchin both went out for a friendly drink to celebrate their victories with both understanding their friendship would be on hold for at least their next three games against each other in the Bay! Marine Park advances to the BIG B finals with a forfeit win over the House and will face off against the Dangleberries as the Bays two best will go head to head! This one will be intense as so will all the other series! It's Kings Bay Hockey, that what it is!

It was one of the most beautifulest nights in a long time coming as it set the tone for a playoff atmosphere in the Bay! Roll a Rollo to your pal as Maurice Rollo would slam home a Lenny Kleingberg feed just :27 seconds into the first overtime session breaking the 4-4 tie and sending the Thrashers to the semifinals against the Hansons. The game was a good one through out the contest with CRC tying the game late in the third on Pat Meads second of the night forcing the extra session that would set the final out come. The Dangleberrries remembered last seasons finals loss against last night's opponents and brought the storm! Dangling out the gate with a 3-0 lead they would double their efforts in period two cruising out to a 10-3 win. Gonitay of the Dangles was all snipe posting the trick adding an assist while B. Tracy, S. McAlister and Andjellic all netted a deuce each. The Dangleberries now await the winner of the Marine Park KB House contest to play for the Kings Bay Cup in a best of three series. Charles Ale House came out the Mill with an edge on their shoulders and pint of Ale in their palms. Lining up the shots, seven would go down the hatch into the first fifteen as Happy Hour would come early for the Charles Crew. The Millazo's Brothers would bring out their top shelf pucks to the game with Dennis making a toast to four with Mike saying i'll drink to that adding two servings and four helpers in the win doing a Bar Slide into the Finals. Charles now awaits the winner of the Rockies Gravesend meet setting up the Kings Bay Cup Final Battle! It's good to be back in the Bay!

The Mariners would dig themselves a 5-2 deficit all the way till the end of the second with 1:50 left as Joe Breeder would make it a two goal game heading into the final session. The Mariners would steam roll from there on in tilting the rink into the Park's end hitting the mesh for four and a 7-5 winner and now will bump heads with the number one seed over all in Charles Ale House with the winner going to the Kings Bay Cup Finale. 12/5/13 Charles Ale House raise the Tab, Bergen Beach knock on through, Man Up serve the Champs and Marine Park blow the lead and redeem! Charles Ale House would finish off the season with a toast to a 9-1 record and a divisional crown. After a 3-3 knot after one the Ale House would win periods two and three by a 2-0 margin earning the W! Mike, Dennis Millazo and Richie Femiano would each provide a two goal punch lending a hand in the division clincher. The Rockies who play tomorrow can tie their points but even if they win by a mercy Charles Ale House got them on goal diferantional as the two teams split the season series at one game a piece. Bergen Beach on the prowl and assault hurt the back of the mesh with a nine goal attack. Dan Balsamo was charge in this one slicing five and dishing two in the victor. Their will be a new Draft Champion in the Bay as the Bay Brewery would fall but not without a fight! Man Up's number one would prove to be number one in this one as Matt Galeano would have something to do with every Man Up tally! Putting up a six point night with five goals and an assist in the 6-4 win he was handsome! The Brew came on strong in the final session making it a one goal game scoring two goals in :58 seconds but captain L. Morris would set up Galeano for two straight goals the game winner and the clincher moving Man Up into the semifinals! They are the last and seventh place seed awaiting their next opponent! Marine Park would come out with fire in their eyes and ice in their hearts serving up an 8-2 lead with 4:45 left in the middle session cruising on. But a Dangleberries team lead by Brendan Tracy and Sean McAllister would never say quit cutting the lead in half by period two's end. Marine Park would clench to a three goal lead with a Len Kleinberg tally with 5:32 left but Dangleberries goals at 2:50, 1:25 and :10.6 a Roar and a game knotted at ten taking us into the shoot-out! A mad as hell Marine Park forward demanded to go first and didn't disappoint as Galeano squeezed one in, a Dangle miss and another vocal Marine Park forward in George Konistine said i'm sorry and put the Park up 2-0 in shoot-out. Still not over a Dangle hit, Marine Park miss a Dangle hit and the shoot-out was knotted at two after round three. Enter round four and the two who provided Marine Park with a shoot-out win the last time these teams met spoke briefly nodded at each other and would be business again with a goal and a save for a Marine Park Win! The extra point could prove to be a big one for the Park as a win in their final game of the season over the KB House will earn them the top seed in the division! All Standings Updated friendly's!
